Paint and Sip
This painting activity is a fun twist on the wine and paint events that have become popular for folks everywhere. Make delicious non-alcoholic drinks (these recipes will put even their alcoholic counterparts to shame!) and set up painting stations for all the guests. Give everyone small, blank canvases that can be used to decorate the baby’s nursery, so your guests can make personalized gifts for mom to be and have fun at the same time.
Tie-Dye Baby Onesies
No one is ever too old to enjoy an afternoon of tie-dye patterns! Gather white baby onesies in multiple sizes and let each guest tie-dye a onesie for the sweet baby. Follow the Gerber Guide to Tie-Dye for a safe and effective method that the whole party will love.
Draw the Baby
Have the mom-to-be describe what she believes her baby will look like while the guests do a drawing activity by creating their own sketch based on her descriptions! Provide paper, drawing utensils, and make sure to set a timer (such as 1 minute or 5 minutes.) In the end, have the mom-to-be select the winner.
Baby Shower Mad Libs
This game is an excellent way for guests to have fun and be creative. Give guests a Mad Libs game story about a baby. Guests then fill in the blanks with their own words. The stories are then read aloud, and everyone has a good laugh.
Pottery Painting Party
Are you looking for an out-of-the-box party idea? Skip hosting a baby shower at home and meet all your best friends at a local pottery studio. You can receive a pottery painting kit to help you paint figurines and decorations for the baby’s nursery. This activity is a great way to prepare for the baby while keeping the festivities low-key for the shy mom-to-be.

It’s time to bring out your ridiculous side with these silly party games. Prepare to laugh, cringe, and get competitive with these fun baby shower games.
Diaper Relay Race
This diaper relay game is a great way to get guests moving and have some fun. Divide guests into two teams and line them up at one end of the room or yard. At the other end of the room, place a pile of diapers. The first person in each line will run to the pile of diapers, put on a diaper, and then return to their team. The following person in line will then do the same, and so on. The first team to have its members put on a diaper and run back to their team wins. This is one of our favorite quick and easy party games because it is so silly that it is sure to have the whole crowd laughing.
Baby Shower Photo Booth
Set up a fun photo booth for the baby shower guests to enjoy! Include a backdrop, oversized props such as pacifiers and baby rattles, and a tripod for guests to sit their phones on to take photos. You can even create a hashtag for the event to compile all those fun and memorable photos in the same place (this can come in handy if you create a photo book of the event later!)
Diaper Changing Race
Put your guests to the test with a blindfolded race! Use baby dolls and diapers for this quick and easy party game and see whose diaper change time is the fastest.
How Big is Mama’s Belly?
Let each guest cut a piece of yarn they believe will fit perfectly around the mom-to-be’s growing belly, and see who has the closest measurement! Avoid awkward measuring attempts by first measuring a piece of yarn around the mom-to-be before the event and using that to measure against the guest’s guesses.
Guess the Baby Food
This game is a great way to test guests' taste buds. Create, print, or purchase cards for your guests to fill out. Collect a variety of jarred baby food, squeeze packs, yogurts, and then blindfold guests. Give them a spoon of different baby food recipes to taste, and guess what flavor of baby food it is. The guest with the most correct guesses wins.
Creative Baby Shower Games
Classic Baby Shower Games
These classic games and activities are ones that even the Grandma-to-be will likely remember from her shower. Bring back memories and make new ones simultaneously with these classic baby shower games.
Baby Shower Bingo
This game is a great way for guests to learn more about the expecting parents and their babies. Create a bingo card with different facts about the parents and their baby, such as their name, gender, and due date. Guests can then mark off the facts as they are revealed during the baby shower. The first guest to get five in a row wins.
Baby Name Idea Jar
A jar of baby's names is a fun baby shower activity to help inspire the parents-to-be! Have each guest write down baby names for girls and boys suggestions and fill a jar for the parents to read together later. They will surely get plenty of suggestions (silly and real!) and enjoy reading everyone’s ideas.
Gender Reveal Games
Is your mom-to-be planning to reveal the baby’s gender at the baby shower? Consider gender reveal ideas like decorating cupcakes with hidden frosting inside (blue or pink!), popping a balloon filled with colored confetti, or even making scratch-off lottery-style tickets for the guests to reveal the answer themselves.
Who Knows the Parents Best?
See which guests know the parents-to-be the best with this fun, classic game. Ask the parents-to-be for help crafting the fun questions for party games, and be sure to write down their answers. Ask the guests where each parent was born, where they graduated from high school, or any other questions that the parents think the guests could answer. The guest with the most correct answers wins!
Old Wives’ Tales
Use this template (or create your own!) and use old wives’ tales to guess the gender of the baby based on symptoms. See if the old wives’ tales pass the test and combine this activity with gender reveal games!
Diaper Raffle
We all know babies go through a shocking amount of diapers in their first year. Help the parents-to-be by hosting a diaper raffle! Each guest brings a package of diapers (in any size) and is entered to win a gift, such as a gift card.
